Why is my Ford Focus revving high at idle?

I have noticed that my Ford Focus is revving around 1500 RPM when it's idling in park or neutral. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

This could be a sign of a malfunctioning idle air control valve. I recommend taking your car to a Ford dealership or a trusted mechanic to have it checked and repaired if necessary.

It might also be a problem with your accelerator cable or the throttle body. It's best to have a professional diagnose and fix this issue to prevent any further damage.
