Do Ford Focus cars have good gas mileage?

I'm in the market for a new car and I'm considering a Ford Focus. One of my main priorities is good gas mileage. Can anyone who owns a Ford Focus speak to their fuel efficiency?

Yes, I have a Ford Focus and the gas mileage is great. I drive mostly on highways and get around 36 mpg.
