How can I increase the horsepower on my Ford Mondeo?

I've been driving my Ford Mondeo for a few months now and I love it, but one thing I've noticed is that it lacks a bit of power. Is there anything I can do to increase the horsepower without breaking the bank? Any recommendations are appreciated.
