How do I check the oil level in my Ford Fiesta?

I bought a used Ford Fiesta and noticed that the previous owner didn't keep the maintenance records. How can I check the oil level to make sure my engine is running smoothly? Is there a specific type of oil I should be using?

To check the oil level in your Ford Fiesta, start by parking the car on a flat surface and turning off the engine. Locate the oil dipstick, which is usually labeled with a bright-colored handle. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean with a cloth or paper towel. Reinsert the dipstick all the way back in and then pull it out again. The oil level should be between the two marks on the dipstick - if it's below the lower mark, you'll need to add more oil. As for the type of oil, refer to your owner's manual for the recommended oil grade for your specific model and year.

I recommend checking your oil level at least once a month to ensure your engine is properly lubricated. If your oil level is consistently low, it could indicate a leak or engine issue, so I would also advise getting your car inspected by a mechanic. Always use the recommended oil grade for your car and make sure to change your oil every 5,000 miles or as indicated by your manufacturer. Good luck!
