How do I check the transmission fluid in my Ford S-Max?

I recently purchased a used Ford S-Max and want to make sure all the fluids are at the proper level. However, I'm not sure how to check the transmission fluid. Can anyone provide guidance on this?

To check the transmission fluid, start by locating the dipstick under the hood of your Ford S-Max. It is usually labeled with a yellow or red handle. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to ensure the fluid is warm. Then, pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag. Reinsert the dipstick and pull it out again to see the current level of the fluid. If it's below the minimum line, you'll need to add more fluid. Refer to your owner's manual for the correct type and amount of transmission fluid for your specific model.

I agree with Tom's answer, but I just want to add that it's important to consistently check your transmission fluid to ensure your car is running smoothly. Low fluid levels can cause damage to your transmission and lead to costly repairs. So make it a habit to check it at least once a month, or more often if you notice any issues with your car's performance.
