How do I fix the engine light on my Ford Puma?

My engine light has been on for a few days and I'm starting to get worried. I don't want to take it to a mechanic and spend a bunch of money. Is there anything simple I can do to try and fix it myself?

One simple thing you can try is tightening your gas cap. Sometimes a loose gas cap can cause the engine light to come on. If that doesn't work, you may want to invest in an OBD2 scanner to check for any error codes.

Another reason the engine light could be on is because of a faulty oxygen sensor. You can purchase a new one and replace it yourself, it's not too difficult.

If neither of those solutions work, it's probably best to take it to a mechanic. It's always better to fix any issues with your car sooner rather than later.
