How do I properly maintain the brakes on my Ford Puma?

I recently purchased a used Ford Puma and I noticed that the brakes seem to be wearing down quickly. I want to make sure I am properly maintaining them to ensure my safety on the road. What steps should I take to keep my brakes in good condition?

As a fellow Ford Puma owner, I recommend regularly checking your brake pads and replacing them if they are worn down. It's also important to have your brake fluid flushed and replaced every 2 years.

I've had my Ford Puma for 5 years now and I've found that avoiding frequent hard stops and using engine braking while slowing down can greatly extend the life of your brakes.

I took my Ford Puma to a mechanic and they recommended getting the rotors resurfaced every few years. It's a relatively inexpensive service that can greatly improve the performance of your brakes.
