How does the Ford Fiesta's Intelligent Access System work?

I recently purchased a Ford Fiesta with the Intelligent Access System. I'm not sure how exactly it works though. Can someone explain the process to me and give any tips for using it efficiently?

The Intelligent Access System allows you to enter and start your car without a traditional key. Instead, the car's key fob sends a signal to the car when you are in close proximity, unlocking the door and allowing you to push the start button to turn on the engine.

Make sure to keep your key fob in your pocket or bag while using the Intelligent Access System. It's important to not have any other electronic devices or metal objects near the key fob as it can interfere with the signal.

In addition to unlocking and starting the car, the Intelligent Access System also has a memory feature that can remember your seat and mirror positions. Just set them how you like and press and hold the 1 or 2 button on the door handle to save your settings.
