I have been considering purchasing a Ford Ranger and have noticed it comes with an Electronic-Locking Rear Differential. Can someone explain how this feature works and if it is worth the extra cost?
ReplyThe Electronic-Locking Rear Differential on the Ford Ranger uses sensors to detect when the wheels lose traction and automatically engages the locking mechanism to evenly distribute power to both wheels. This can greatly improve off-road performance and traction control on slippery surfaces.
I have been using the Electronic-Locking Rear Differential on my Ford Ranger for city driving and it has really helped with tight turns and maneuvering through traffic. It also provides a smoother driving experience compared to a traditional limited slip differential.
