How reliable is the Ford Galaxy's transmission?

I am thinking about purchasing a Ford Galaxy and I have heard mixed reviews about their transmission. I am looking for some personal experiences and recommendations from owners.

I have owned a Ford Galaxy for 3 years now and have had no issues with the transmission. However, I know a friend who had to replace theirs after just 2 years.

In my opinion, the Ford Galaxy has a reliable transmission. I have been driving one for over 5 years and have never had any problems.

I work at a Ford dealership and have seen a few cases of transmission issues with the Galaxy, but it's not a widespread problem. As with any car, proper maintenance and care is key.
