I recently bought a used Ford Fiesta and I'm not sure when the brake pads were last replaced. I want to make sure I do it correctly and save some money by doing it myself. Can someone walk me through the steps and what tools I will need to complete this job?
ReplyFirst, make sure you have the correct brake pads for your Ford Fiesta model. Then, start by removing the wheel on the side you want to change the brake pads. Next, locate and remove the caliper bolts and pull the caliper off. You should see the brake pads and be able to easily remove them and replace them with the new ones. Finally, put the caliper back on, tighten the bolts and replace the wheel. Make sure to also press the brake pedal a few times to ensure the new pads are properly seated.
