First, check your owner's manual to see the recommended type and viscosity of oil for your Ford EcoSport. Generally, you can choose between conventional, synthetic, or a blend. Synthetic oils offer better overall protection, while conventional oils are more affordable. As for viscosity, you can decide based on the climate you live in and the type of driving you do. For colder climates, a lower viscosity oil is recommended, while a higher viscosity is better for hot climates and heavy loads.

Another factor to consider is the API service rating of the engine oil. You can find this information on the label. Always choose an API service rating that meets or exceeds the requirements of your Ford EcoSport. This will ensure excellent performance and engine protection. Often, the recommended API rating is marked on the oil cap under the hood. Lastly, make sure to change your oil and filter regularly as per the recommended intervals.

In my experience, I have found that a full synthetic oil with an API service rating of SN works best for my Ford EcoSport. It offers great protection, especially during cold starts, and helps to keep the engine clean. Additionally, I always stick to the recommended oil change interval and I have not faced any issues so far.
