How to fix a rattling noise in my Ford Ranger's engine?

I've been hearing a rattling noise in my Ford Ranger's engine and I'm not sure what could be causing it. It seems to only happen when the engine is running and gets worse when I accelerate. Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

It's likely that there's an issue with the timing belt or a loose belt causing the rattling noise. I would recommend taking your Ford Ranger to a trusted mechanic to have them inspect and potentially replace the belt if needed. It's important to address this issue as soon as possible to prevent any further damage.

I had the same issue with my Ford Ranger and it turned out to be a problem with the exhaust system. I suggest having a mechanic check the exhaust, particularly the muffler and catalytic converter, for any issues. It's a relatively easy fix and should solve the rattling noise.
