How to troubleshoot an overheating issue on my Ford Transit Custom?

I've been experiencing an issue with my Ford Transit Custom where it tends to overheat frequently. I've tried checking the coolant level and the radiator, but everything seems to be in good condition. Is there anything else I can do to diagnose and fix this issue?

First of all, it's important to make sure that your engine fan is functioning properly. If it's not, it could be causing your vehicle to overheat. Another thing to check is the thermostat, as a faulty one can also lead to overheating. If both of those components are working fine, it could be an issue with the water pump or a clogged radiator. If you're not comfortable with diagnosing and fixing the problem yourself, it's best to take it to a professional mechanic.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Transit Custom and it turned out to be a faulty temperature sensor. Once I replaced it, the overheating problem disappeared. I would suggest getting your temperature sensor checked as well, just in case.

One thing you can also do is perform a coolant flush. Over time, debris and rust particles can build up in the cooling system, leading to clogs that can cause your vehicle to overheat. Flushing the system can help remove any blockages and keep your engine running cool.
