Is it necessary to change the engine oil every 3,000 miles in a Ford Kuga?

I've heard some people say it's necessary, while others say it's not. I don't want to cause any damage to my car, but I also don't want to overspend on unnecessary maintenance. What is your advice?

It's actually a common misconception that you need to change your engine oil every 3,000 miles. According to Ford, the recommended oil change interval for the Kuga is every 10,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. Changing the oil more frequently won't necessarily harm your car, but it's not necessary either.

I personally always stick to the 3,000 mile interval just to be safe. It's better to be proactive and change the oil more often than risk damage to your engine. Plus, regular oil changes can prolong the life of your car and improve its performance.

I follow the manufacturer's recommendations and change my engine oil every 10,000 miles. This saves me time and money, and I haven't had any issues with my Kuga. Just make sure to use high-quality synthetic oil and follow the maintenance schedule outlined in your owner's manual.
