Is it normal for a Ford Mondeo to make a high pitch squealing noise when turning?

I recently purchased a Ford Mondeo and have noticed that whenever I make sharp turns, there is a high pitched squealing noise coming from the front of the car. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it a normal sound for this model?
