Is it normal for my Ford S-Max to make a rattling noise when I accelerate?

I recently purchased a used Ford S-Max and have noticed a rattling noise when I accelerate. The car seems to be running fine otherwise. Is this something I should be worried about?

Hi Samantha, it is not normal for any car to make a rattling noise when accelerating. It could be a sign of a loose or damaged component in your engine. I highly recommend taking your car to a mechanic to get it checked out as soon as possible.

Samantha, this could be caused by a number of issues such as a worn-out drive belt or a loose exhaust system. I suggest having a professional inspect your car to determine the exact cause of the noise.
