Is the Ford Ranger a reliable and durable off-roading vehicle?

I am looking to purchase a Ford Ranger for off-roading purposes. I have heard mixed reviews about its reliability and durability. Can anyone provide some insight on this?

I have owned a Ford Ranger for over 5 years now and have taken it on some pretty rough off-road trails. It has never let me down and continues to perform well.

I work at a Ford dealership and have seen numerous customers come in with their Rangers for repairs. It seems to be a common issue with this model.

I have had multiple issues with my Ford Ranger, especially when using it for off-roading. I would not recommend it for this purpose.
