Is the Ford S-Max a reliable car for daily use?

I'm considering buying a Ford S-Max for my daily commute, but I've heard mixed reviews on its reliability. Can someone who has owned one give me some insight, and possibly some advice?

I've been driving a Ford S-Max for the past 5 years and I haven't had any major issues. As long as you keep up with regular maintenance, it's a reliable car.

I had constant issues with my Ford S-Max and ended up trading it in for a different brand. I would suggest looking at other options.
