The Right Time to Change the Timing Belt on a Ford Focus

I just bought a used Ford Focus and I'm wondering when I should replace the timing belt. Should I do it right away or wait until it starts showing signs of wear? Thanks!

It's always best to err on the side of caution when it comes to the timing belt. Waiting too long can result in expensive engine damage.

As a general rule, most experts recommend replacing the timing belt every 60,000 miles.

I personally recommend replacing it right away, just to be safe. It's better to be proactive than reactive when it comes to car maintenance.
