What are the best tires for off-roading in a Ford Transit Custom?

I recently bought a Ford Transit Custom and I want to take it off-roading. However, I'm not sure which tires would be the best for this type of terrain. Should I go for all-terrain tires or mud-terrain tires? Any specific brands or models that you would recommend?

I've owned a Ford Transit Custom for over 5 years now and I've gone off-roading with it numerous times. In my experience, all-terrain tires are your best bet. They have a good balance between on-road and off-road performance. Some brands that I would recommend are BFGoodrich, Goodyear, and Michelin.

I agree with Samantha. I've also used all-terrain tires on my Ford Transit Custom and they've never let me down. Make sure to also invest in a good spare tire, just in case.

I'm a mechanic and I see a lot of Ford Transit Customs come into my shop. Based on my observations, I would suggest going for mud-terrain tires if you plan on doing a lot of serious off-roading. They have more aggressive tread patterns and can handle tougher terrain.
