What is the average lifespan of a Ford Fiesta's engine?

I just bought a Ford Fiesta and I want to know how long can I expect the engine to last before I need to replace it? I plan on keeping the car for a long time so I want to make sure I am prepared for potential maintenance costs later on.

As a longtime Ford owner and mechanic, I can tell you that the average lifespan of a Ford Fiesta's engine is around 150,000 miles. However, with proper maintenance and care, you can extend the lifespan up to 200,000 miles or more.

I've had my Ford Fiesta for 10 years now and the engine is still going strong at 170,000 miles. As long as you stay on top of regular maintenance and don't push the car too hard, the engine should last a long time.

I've seen some Ford Fiestas with engines that lasted over 250,000 miles! Just make sure you change the oil and perform regular tune-ups every 3,000 to 5,000 miles and you should have no problems.
