What is the best engine for performance in a Ford Galaxy?

I'm interested in purchasing a Ford Galaxy and I want to know which engine option would provide the best performance. I'm looking for a balance of power and fuel efficiency. Can anyone provide some insight or personal experiences with certain engines?
