What is the best Ford Transit Custom engine for towing?

I am looking to purchase a Ford Transit Custom for work and I need it to be able to tow a trailer. Which engine option would be the most suitable for towing heavy loads?

Based on my experience, I would recommend the 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine. It has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500kg and offers excellent torque for hauling heavy loads.

I have a Ford Transit Custom with the 2.2-liter TDCi engine and it has been great for towing. It offers good power and fuel efficiency. Just make sure to regularly maintain it to keep it running smoothly.
