What is the best type of oil for a Ford Focus?

I just bought a Ford Focus and I'm curious about which type of oil would be best for my car. Should I stick with conventional oil or switch to synthetic? And how often should I get my oil changed? Any other advice for maintaining my car's engine?

It's always best to consult your car's manual for specific recommendations, but in general, synthetic oil is better for newer vehicles like the Ford Focus. It provides better engine protection and lasts longer, so you won't need to get your oil changed as frequently.

I've been using conventional oil in my Ford Focus for years and haven't had any issues. Just make sure to get it changed every 5,000 miles or so. But if you want to switch to synthetic, I recommend doing it during your next oil change and sticking with it from then on.

My friend who works at a Ford dealership told me that while synthetic oil does offer better protection, it's not necessary for a Ford Focus. Stick with conventional oil and get it changed every 3,000 miles to be safe.
