What is the most reliable engine size for the Ford Ranger?

I am considering buying a Ford Ranger and I am wondering what engine size would give me the most reliable performance. I plan on using it for both daily commuting and occasional off-roading. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

In my experience, the 2.3L EcoBoost engine in the Ford Ranger has been extremely reliable. It offers a good balance of power and fuel efficiency.

I've had great luck with the 2.0L EcoBlue diesel engine. It has excellent torque for off-roading and the diesel fuel economy is a plus.

I recommend going for the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost. It may have a slightly lower fuel economy, but the extra power is worth it in my opinion.
