What is the optimal engine oil for a Ford Mondeo?

I just bought a used Ford Mondeo and I'm not sure what the previous owner used for engine oil. Can anyone recommend the best type of oil to use in a Ford Mondeo? I want to make sure I am keeping my car in good condition.

I have a Ford Mondeo as well and I always use synthetic oil. It's more expensive, but it's worth it for the longevity and performance of your engine.

I've owned multiple Ford cars and always use a regular conventional motor oil. It's cheaper and still gets the job done.
