What is the recommended oil type for a Ford Galaxy 2.0 TDCi engine?

I recently purchased a Ford Galaxy and I'm not sure what type of oil to use for its 2.0 TDCi engine. Can you provide some recommendations?

I've been using Castrol EDGE 5W-30 for my Ford Galaxy and it's been working great. It meets all the manufacturer's specifications and provides excellent engine protection.

I've used Mobil 1Extended Performance 5W-20 for years and have never had any issues with my Ford Galaxy's engine. It's a bit more expensive but it's worth the peace of mind.

I would recommend using Shell Rotella T 5W-40 for your Ford Galaxy. It's a fully synthetic oil that is specifically designed for diesel engines like yours.
