What type of engine oil should I use for my Ford S-Max?

I recently purchased a used 2015 Ford S-Max and I'm not sure what type of engine oil is best for it. Should I use synthetic or conventional? And what viscosity is recommended for this car model?

For your Ford S-Max, I would recommend using a synthetic oil with a viscosity grade of 5W-30. This type of oil offers better protection and performance for your engine compared to conventional oil.

I would suggest sticking with the manufacturer's recommendation for engine oil in your Ford S-Max. Check your owner's manual for the specific type and viscosity grade they recommend.

It's important to consider the climate and driving conditions you regularly experience when choosing engine oil for your car. If you live in a colder climate, a lower viscosity oil may be better for easier start-ups.
