Why does my Ford Fiesta engine make a grinding noise?

I recently noticed that my Ford Fiesta engine makes a grinding noise when I accelerate. Is this something I should be concerned about? What could be causing it? Can I continue driving my car or do I need to take it to a mechanic?

This could be due to a number of reasons such as worn out belts, loose components, or even an issue with the transmission. It would be wise to take your car to a mechanic and get it checked to avoid any potential damage to your engine.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Fiesta and it turned out to be a loosened belt. I tightened it myself and the noise went away. You can try the same, but if the noise persists, it's best to consult a professional.

I've had this issue before and it was caused by a faulty alternator. You should definitely get it checked as driving with a faulty alternator can cause serious damage to your car.
