Why does my Ford Fiesta make a rattling sound while driving?

I recently purchased a used Ford Fiesta and have noticed a rattling sound coming from the engine while I'm driving. It seems to happen more when I accelerate. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

It's possible that you have a loose heat shield on your catalytic converter. This can cause a rattling sound while driving. It's an easy fix for a mechanic to tighten or replace the heat shield.

Check your exhaust system for any loose or worn out parts. This can also cause a rattling sound while driving. A mechanic should be able to diagnose and fix the issue.
