Why does my Ford Puma make a strange noise when I accelerate?

I recently purchased a Ford Puma and I've noticed that when I step on the gas pedal, there is a strange noise coming from under the hood. It almost sounds like a high-pitched whirring noise. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It's possible that the noise is coming from a faulty belt or pulley in your car's engine. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have it checked out.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Puma and it turned out to be a problem with the exhaust system. The best thing to do would be to take it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair.

Another potential cause for the strange noise could be a loose or damaged heat shield. This is a relatively easy fix and you can even do it yourself if you have some basic tools.
