Why does my Ford S-Max engine keep stalling?

I recently bought a used Ford S-Max and I've noticed that the engine has a tendency to stall, especially when I'm idling or coming to a stop. It's quite embarrassing and concerning. Can anyone give me some insight into why this may be happening?

It's possible that your fuel pump is beginning to fail. This can cause inconsistent fuel delivery and ultimately result in engine stalling. I would recommend getting it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible.

Another common issue with the Ford S-Max is a faulty throttle body. If the throttle body is not functioning properly, it can cause the engine to stall. I would suggest taking it to a dealership for a diagnostic test.

I had the same issue with my Ford S-Max and it turned out to be a faulty ignition coil. I would recommend getting all of your coils checked and replaced if necessary. This solved the stalling issue for me.

Check the air filter in your Ford S-Max. If it's clogged or dirty, it can cause the engine to stall. I would also recommend getting your fuel injectors cleaned, as dirty injectors can also cause stalling.
