Why is my Ford Focus emitting a strange noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I recently purchased a used Ford Focus and noticed that when I turn the steering wheel, there is a strange noise coming from the front of the car. This noise only occurs when the car is in motion and gets louder when I turn the wheel more sharply. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Based on your description, it sounds like you may have a problem with your power steering system. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have it checked out. They will be able to diagnose the issue and make any necessary repairs.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Focus and it turned out to be a loose belt in the power steering system. I would suggest checking the belt tension and if needed, tightening or replacing the belt.

It's possible that there could be an issue with the steering column itself. I would suggest having a mechanic take a look and see if there are any loose or damaged parts that need to be repaired or replaced.
