I have a four-year-old Ford Focus and recently noticed the engine making a knocking sound when accelerating. The noise is more apparent when the engine is cold, but it persists even after the engine has warmed up. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?
ReplyIt is possible that your engine is low on oil, causing the components to rub together and create a knocking sound. Check your oil levels and top up if necessary.
The knocking noise could also be a sign of a failing engine bearing. This is a serious issue and should be addressed by a mechanic as soon as possible.
