Why is my Ford Focus making a clicking noise when I turn the key?

When I try to start my 2015 Ford Focus, I hear a series of clicks coming from the engine. It eventually starts, but I'm worried this means something is wrong.

It sounds like your battery may be failing. The clicking noise is usually a sign that the battery doesn't have enough power to start the car. I would recommend getting your battery tested and if necessary, replaced.

Another possibility is that there is an issue with the starter motor. This can cause a clicking noise when trying to start the car. I would suggest taking your car to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis.

If the clicking noise is only happening when the weather is colder, it could be due to the engine oil being too thick and not lubricating the starter motor properly. Consider getting an oil change or using a lighter weight oil.
