Why is my Ford Kuga making a strange noise when I accelerate?

I recently noticed that my Ford Kuga is making a strange noise whenever I accelerate. It's not a constant noise, but more like a grinding or scraping sound. I'm not sure what could be causing it, but I'm worried it might be a sign of a bigger problem. Can anyone offer some advice on what might be causing this noise and what steps I should take to fix it?

Hi Samantha, based on your description, it sounds like you might have an issue with your brakes. It could be that the brake pads or rotors are worn and in need of replacement. I recommend taking your Ford Kuga to a mechanic for a thorough inspection and repair.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Kuga a few months ago, and it turned out to be a problem with the exhaust system. The noise was caused by a loose or damaged component in the exhaust. I suggest taking your car to a mechanic who specializes in exhaust systems to have it checked out.

I've had my Ford Kuga for a few years now and have experienced similar noises in the past. In my case, it was due to a loose heat shield. It may be a simple fix, but I recommend getting it checked out by a mechanic just in case.
