I have a 2010 Ford Mondeo with a 1.8 TDCi engine and lately it has been struggling to start. It takes a few tries before it finally starts and when it does, it emits a lot of black smoke. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?
ReplyIt sounds like you may have a problem with your fuel injectors. I suggest taking your car to a qualified mechanic who can check your injectors and replace them if necessary. Make sure you also regularly maintain your fuel injectors to prevent future issues.
Another possibility is that your spark plugs are worn out and need to be replaced. This can cause trouble starting and increase emissions. Make sure to replace your spark plugs every 30,000 miles for optimal performance.
