Why is my Ford Mondeo overheating while driving?

I have a Ford Mondeo and recently, it has started to overheat while driving. The temperature gauge goes up to the red zone and the engine warning light comes on. I have checked the coolant and radiator and everything seems to be fine. What could be causing this issue?

It is possible that your thermostat is stuck closed, preventing the coolant from flowing properly and causing the engine to overheat. I would recommend getting it checked and replaced if necessary.

Another possible cause could be a faulty water pump. If the water pump is not circulating the coolant properly, it can cause the engine to overheat. You should have it inspected and replaced if needed.
