Why is my Ford Mondeo's engine making a ticking noise?

I recently noticed a ticking noise coming from my Ford Mondeo's engine. It only seems to happen when the car is idle, and it goes away once I start driving. Is this something I should be concerned about?

I had the same issue with my Ford Mondeo and it turned out to be a loose belt. I took it to my mechanic and they fixed it easily.
