Why is my Ford Puma's engine making a knocking noise?

I recently bought a used Ford Puma and noticed a knocking noise coming from the engine. It's not very loud, but it's definitely noticeable. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?

It's important to address any strange noises coming from your car's engine as it could be a sign of a more serious issue. It's possible that the knocking noise could be due to low oil levels, worn bearings, or a faulty water pump. It's best to take your car to a mechanic for a thorough inspection to determine the exact cause of the noise.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Puma and it turned out to be a problem with the spark plugs. I would suggest checking those first before taking your car to a mechanic. They can easily become fouled or worn out and cause knocking noises in the engine.
