I recently purchased a used Ford Puma and have noticed that the transmission seems to be slipping. It feels like the gears are not engaging properly and the car struggles to accelerate. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?
ReplyHi Laura, it sounds like you may have an issue with your transmission fluid. Make sure to check the fluid levels and if they are low, top them off. If that doesn't solve the problem, it could be a sign of a more serious issue with the transmission itself. I would recommend taking it to a mechanic to have it checked out.
I had the same issue with my Ford Puma and it turned out to be a faulty transmission solenoid. It's a relatively easy and inexpensive fix, so definitely have that checked out as well.
