Why is my Ford Ranger engine overheating?

I just bought a used Ford Ranger and I noticed that the engine temperature gauge keeps going up while driving. Any advice on how to prevent this from happening?

It's possible that your coolant levels are low, or there could be a blockage in the cooling system. I recommend checking your coolant levels and getting your radiator and hoses flushed if necessary. This should prevent your engine from overheating.

Make sure to check your fan belt and make sure it's tight enough. If the belt is too loose, the fan won't spin fast enough to cool your engine.

You may also want to check your thermostat to make sure it's functioning properly. A faulty thermostat can cause overheating issues.
