I have a 2008 Ford Ranger and recently it has been experiencing engine misfires. The check engine light came on and ever since then, the truck has not been running smoothly. I've tried changing the spark plugs and wires but it hasn't made a difference. What could be causing this issue? Any advice on how to fix it?
ReplyHave you checked the fuel injectors? Sometimes they can get clogged and cause engine misfires. Try using a fuel injector cleaner or having them professionally cleaned.
Another possibility could be a faulty ignition coil. If the spark plugs and wires have been ruled out, it's worth checking the ignition coil. It's responsible for providing the spark to the spark plugs and can cause misfires if it's not functioning properly.
