Why is my Ford S-Max engine overheating?

I have a 2015 Ford S-Max and recently I noticed that my engine temperature is rising quickly and reaching the red zone. I checked the coolant levels and they seem to be normal. What could be causing this issue and what should I do?

Hi John, there are a few possible reasons for your engine overheating. It could be a problem with the radiator, thermostat, water pump or even a clogged cooling system. I suggest taking your car to a certified mechanic who can diagnose the issue and provide a proper solution.

Hey John, it's important to address an overheating engine immediately as it could cause serious damage. Check your radiator for leaks or damage, and also make sure the fan is working properly. If everything seems fine, it could be a faulty thermostat. I recommend getting it checked by a professional.

Hi John, I had the same issue with my Ford S-Max and it turned out to be a faulty water pump. It's best to get it replaced as soon as possible to avoid any further damage to your engine.

Hi John, it's possible that your cooling system is clogged with dirt, debris or rust. Have a mechanic flush and clean the system to see if that helps. Also, make sure to regularly replace your coolant to prevent clogging.
