Why is my Ford S-Max making a strange noise when I accelerate?

I recently noticed that my Ford S-Max has been making a low humming noise whenever I accelerate. It seems to be coming from the front of the car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The most common reason for a strange noise when accelerating in a Ford S-Max is a loose or damaged heat shield. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to get it checked and potentially repaired.

Another possible cause could be an issue with the exhaust system, such as a leak or a faulty muffler. It's best to have a professional diagnose and fix this problem to avoid further damage.

Have you recently changed the oil or air filter in your car? If they were not installed properly, it could be causing the noise. I would suggest checking these and fixing or replacing them if necessary.
