Why is my Ford S-Max stalling when I accelerate?

I recently bought a used Ford S-Max and have noticed that when I try to accelerate quickly, the car stalls and hesitates. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

This could be due to a faulty throttle position sensor or a clogged fuel filter. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic for a diagnostic test to determine the exact cause of the stalling.

I had a similar issue with my Ford S-Max and it turned out to be a problem with the ignition coils. You may want to have those checked as well.

Make sure to also check the air filter and clean or replace it if necessary. A dirty air filter can cause problems with acceleration.
