Why is my Ford Transit Custom making a strange noise when I accelerate?

I recently purchased a used Ford Transit Custom and have noticed a strange noise whenever I accelerate. It's not a consistent noise and it seems to happen randomly. I'm not sure if it's something that needs to be fixed or if it's just normal for this type of vehicle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's possible that the noise could be coming from an issue with your engine. I would recommend taking your van to a certified Ford dealership and having them take a look at it.

I had a similar issue with my Transit Custom and it turned out to be a loose belt. I would suggest checking the belts under the hood and tightening them if necessary.
