Why is the Ford Focus experiencing brake failure?

I recently purchased a Ford Focus and have been experiencing issues with the brakes. They often feel soft and unresponsive, and I'm worried about the safety of myself and others while driving. Any suggestions on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Hi Samantha, thank you for your question. It's possible that air has gotten into your brake lines, which can cause them to feel soft and unresponsive. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have them bleed the brake lines and check for any other potential issues.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Focus. It turned out to be a faulty master cylinder. I would advise having it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible, as this can be a serious safety concern.

Make sure to regularly check and replace your brake pads and rotors, as they can wear down over time and cause brake failure. Also, double check that your brake fluid is at the correct level. I hope this helps!
