How do I properly change the oil in my Ford Puma?

I recently purchased a Ford Puma and I want to make sure I am properly taking care of it. How often should I change the oil and what type of oil should I use? Also, are there any special steps or precautions I should take when changing the oil? Thanks!

Hi Samantha, congratulations on your new Ford Puma! It is recommended to change your oil every 5,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. As for the type of oil, always follow the manufacturer's recommendations found in your owner's manual. When changing the oil, be sure to use a funnel to avoid spills and dispose of the old oil properly.

Hey there Samantha, frequent oil changes are crucial to keeping your car running smoothly. Consult your owner's manual for the recommended oil change schedule and use synthetic oil for optimal performance. When changing the oil, take care not to over-tighten the oil filter and use a wrench with a good grip to loosen it.
